Project Overview

AstroPay partnered with Flexxi to redesign its home screen and better align the product experience with the platform’s core value proposition. The project focused on improving how users navigate key actions within the app, using research, UX strategy, and design system expansion to create a more intuitive and useful starting point for the product experience.

AstroPay’s home experience was not clearly supporting the actions users cared about most, creating friction at the core of the app experience.

The Challenge

The main challenge was that the home screen needed to do more than simply display features—it had to reflect user priorities, surface the most important actions clearly, and support a more effective product journey from the very first interaction. Without a stronger information architecture, the experience risked feeling less intuitive and less aligned with real user behavior.

Flexxi’s approach

Flexxi approached the project through a research-informed UX strategy, beginning with a deep understanding of what users actually wanted to do inside the app. The team worked closely with AstroPay to analyze feature importance, gather insights, and run a live design sprint workshop to rethink how the home experience should be structured. The focus was not just on redesigning a screen, but on redefining the role of the home as a more strategic product entry point.

Our Solution

We redesigned AstroPay’s home experience to better support the product’s most important user actions and improve overall clarity.

The solution focused on redesigning the home screen around key user priorities and reworking the information architecture to better reflect the product’s value. A collaborative design sprint was run alongside AstroPay’s internal team, using research to help prioritize the most relevant features and actions. At the same time, the design system was expanded to support the new experience, and core UI components, including buttons, inputs, and account-related elements, were redesigned to create a more cohesive and effective product foundation.

Outcome

  • Created a more intuitive and action-oriented home experience
  • Improved alignment between the product interface and user priorities
  • Strengthened the app’s information architecture
  • Expanded AstroPay’s design system to support product evolution
  • Improved clarity across core product entry points
  • Built a stronger UX foundation for future app improvements

Conclusion

This project helped AstroPay transform its home screen into a more strategic and user-centered part of the product experience. By grounding the redesign in research, collaboration, and UX structure, Flexxi created a clearer and more useful foundation that better supports how users actually interact with the app.
