Project Overview

AstroPay partnered with Flexxi to redesign the AstroCard experience, one of the platform’s core product features. The project focused on improving both the card hub and the card request flow, helping users better understand the value of AstroPay’s card offering and navigate the experience more clearly.

AstroPay needed a clearer way to present its card offering so users could better understand the available options and benefits.

The Challenge

The main challenge was communicating a card product with multiple options in a way that felt intuitive and easy to understand. AstroPay offered both a local card and a global card, each with different perks and use cases, so the experience needed to reduce confusion while guiding users through both the decision-making process and the request flow itself.

Flexxi’s approach

Flexxi approached the project through a UX-focused product redesign, concentrating on how the card experience was structured, understood, and accessed inside the app. Rather than treating the work as a simple interface refresh, the goal was to clarify the offering, improve the card hub, and make the request journey more intuitive from start to finish.

Our Solution

We redesigned the AstroCard experience to make it easier for users to understand, compare, and request the right card for their needs. This included refining the card hub to better communicate the offering, improving the request card flow to reduce friction, and restructuring the experience so users could more clearly differentiate between the local and global card options. We also worked to make the product’s key benefits more visible and easier to grasp, creating a more intuitive and user-friendly foundation for one of AstroPay’s most important features.
