Project Overview

DLP Labs partnered with us to lead a brand refresh as the company defined a new category in commercial fleet electrification: battery protection. As electric fleets scale, the battery has become the most valuable and least protected asset, representing up to 40–50% of total vehicle cost and carrying significant financial risk. The objective was to build a brand that translates this emerging reality into a clear, credible, and differentiated narrative.

We repositioned DLP Labs from a technical solution into a financial and operational layer, protecting the core asset that defines the economics of electric fleets.

The Challenge

DLP Labs operates at the intersection of electrification, finance, and risk, an area that is both highly technical and still undefined. While the company addresses a critical gap in how battery performance and lifecycle risk are managed, the category itself lacks clear language and established mental models. The challenge was to make an unfamiliar product immediately understandable, shift perception from technical coverage to business impact, and build trust in a space traditionally shaped by insurance and legacy systems.

Flexxi’s approach

We reframed the conversation from vehicle protection to asset protection.Instead of leading with technology, we focused on the battery as the core unit of value, positioning risk as a balance sheet issue and protection as a matter of predictability and control. This shift allowed us to move the narrative from engineering to economics, establishing DLP Labs as a strategic layer within fleet operations.

Our Solution

We developed a brand system built around the idea of concentrated value.Placing the battery at the center, the identity expresses structure, precision, and control through a modular and scalable design language. The visual system reinforces the role of the battery as the defining element of the business, while the messaging translates complex technical concepts into clear financial implications. The result is a cohesive identity that aligns product innovation with market understanding, positioning DLP Labs as both credible and forward-thinking.

Outcome

  • Defined a clear and ownable category: battery protection for EV fleets.
  • Reframed the product from technical coverage to financial infrastructure.
  • Clarified a complex value proposition into a simple, strategic narrative.
  • Strengthened alignment between product, sales, and market positioning.
  • Built a scalable identity system to support future growth.
  • Positioned DLP Labs as a forward-thinking player in fleet electrification.

Conclusion

As electrification reshapes transportation, value concentrates in a single component: the battery. DLP Labs’ new identity reflects that shift, transforming how the market understands risk, performance, and long-term value. The result is a brand designed not only to communicate a product, but to define its category.
