Project Overview
AstroPay partnered with Flexxi to redesign its rewards experience and strengthen its user retention strategy. The project focused on transforming the rewards system into a more engaging, intuitive, and value-driven part of the overall product experience.
AstroPay’s rewards system existed, but lacked clarity, engagement, and a strong connection to the overall product experience.
The Challenge
The main challenge was turning a functional rewards system into a meaningful and motivating experience for users. Rewards needed to be easier to understand, more visible, and better aligned with user behavior. At the same time, the system had to integrate seamlessly into the broader product without feeling like an isolated feature.

Flexxi’s approach
Flexxi approached the project through a product strategy and loyalty design lens. The team analyzed how users interacted with the existing system, identified gaps in visibility and perceived value, and explored how rewards could become a more integrated and behavior-driven part of the product experience. The focus was on designing for long-term engagement, not just short-term incentives.

The solution focused on reworking the rewards system structure to improve clarity and usability, while designing a more integrated experience within the broader product ecosystem. It enhanced the visibility and discoverability of rewards, created clearer user pathways to access and use incentives, and introduced engagement touch-points such as notifications and prompts. To support long-term growth, a consistent UI foundation was developed to ensure scalability across the experience.
